My name is Teresa Paravano, but I’d rather be called Captain Ted.

I’m a confused girl from Italy, passionate about lots of things. Often I find myself in trouble because of my infinitely great hope in humanity. #SpaceGeek

If I’ll ever have to talk about difficult topics / use specific terms in some of my posts, I will write in italian; since it is my primary language, it will be easier for me. Hope my potential italian followers will appreciate, and that my non-italian followers won’t get too upset.

That’s all that a random internet guy needs to know about me and this blog but, if you suddenly feel like having an incredible curiosity toward myself and, for some obsucure reason, you want to know more, go ahead and keep reading.

My facebook profile picture. I’m in New York. Even though it doesn’t seem so, I was happy there.

I’m currently attending my last year of highschool, and I have no idea of what to do with my life afterwards. Well actually, I have some ideas.

Specifically, two ideas: 1) attend the faculty of aerospace engineering here in Italy; 2) join the army.

Anyway, I won’t be able to do both of them at the same time, so I’m correct in stating that I’m still far from knowing exactly what I will do with my life.

The thing is, that I would hate to end up doing a job I don’t like. I know, I know… with today’s crisis, finding any job is already a great achievement. But I’m young, I still have many dreams and hopes. Let me dream and hope for a little while more.

This is all I can think of right now. If you want to know even more, drop a comment. Thank you for stopping by, have a nice day!

P.S. as I said, my native language is not english, is italian. Although I have studied english all my life, I’ve surely made some mistakes in this page. So I apologize in advance if some phrases are incomprehensible. If you’ll stop and you are willing to nicely give me some suggestions, I will thank you immensely.

  1. Thank you for following my blog Captain Ted. The pictures of aircraft shown on your blog tells me we have some things in common so I’m now following your blog also. Flight is physics 101 and how all of those elements come together to get an aircraft airborne is awe inspiring to me. I’m looking forward to reading your posts.

    • Thank you very much! I absolutely love aviation and physics in particular (my biggest dream is to be able to attend the faculty of aerospace engineering). One of the main reasons I started this blog, is exactly that of sharing this passion of mine, (among many others).

  2. Thank you for following my blog 🙂 I love that you are a space geek and I also love how you have used the Big brother theme (mine is BB, too). My daughter is an aerospace engineer in Silicon Valley California and it is very nice to see another young woman who is into physics and hard sciences! I look forward to following your work!

  3. Hey, thanks for following my blog 🙂 Not sure if you’re still uncertain what to do after high school, but if you’re thinking of taking a year out to travel – try to go volunteer somewhere (preferably for lowernine.org in New Orleans). It may not be to do with space engineering, but it will give you the chance to decide what path to take. I hope that helps. I look forward to reading more of your blog x
